DAY 2 (BL) CLARK
 

Breakfast at the hotel then get ready to be captivated as we take an in-depth look at the inseparable history that shaped the twin districts Clark and Angeles City. The former was the site of the largest overseas US military facility while the latter, a humble pueblo that evolved to the thriving city that it is today. We begin the tour with a visit to the Museum of Philippine Social History, more fondly referred to as Pamintuan Mansion. A truly historical site, Pamintuan Mansion was once the headquarters of General Antonio Luna in 1899, the Seat of the Philippine Republic in May 1899, and the site of the first anniversary celebration of the declaration of Philippine Independence on June 12, 1899. It also became the headquarters of General Douglas MacArthur in November of the same year. One of the most elegant and most elaborately designed houses in the whole of Angeles City, Pamintuan Mansion is home to nine galleries that showcase the diverse aspects of Filipino life from home furnishings, kitchenware, textiles… There’s even Filipino musical compositions and depictions of mythological creatures. We continue the tour to Museo Ning Angeles. Situated in the former town hall that was originally built in 1922, Museo Ning Angeles proudly exhibits the evolution of the city and its people. Look around and you’ll see notable personalities in the Angeles City Hall of Fame, works of local artists, rare photographs of the city during the Philippine-American War, and memorabilia of Mount Pinatubo's 1991 eruption. Afterwards, we navigate to the Center for Kapampangan Studies located in one of the biggest private schools in the region – Holy Angel University. Founded in 1933, Holy Angel University is considered as the first Catholic school in the country that was founded by a laity instead of a diocese or a religious congregation as well as the first Catholic coed high school. Here, we enjoy the exhibits on Kapampangan history, culture, and archaeology. Make sure to check out the interactive digital kiosks. After lunch, we make our way to Clark Museum to learn more about regional history. Discover remarkable artifacts, military memorabilia, and local products that depict the history of Clark from 1901 as a military base to its current reincarnation as an economic and freeport zone. Not to be missed is the interactive 4D documentary film entitled “Risen from the Ashes” which will transport us back to the actual moment when Mount Pinatubo erupted. With spectacular sound effects, vibrating seats, and visual effects depicting ashfall and smoke, expect a one of a kind movie theater experience. DAY 3 (B) CLARK-DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel then free time until check out. Transfer to the airport for your flight. Tour ends. Farewell and until we meet again.
