DAY 1 (D) ARRIVE MANILA
Mabuhay! Welcome to Manila, the Philippines’ hyperactive capital that’s home to a man-made beach, the world’s oldest Chinatown, and shopping malls as huge as cities. Check into the hotel then prepare to stimulate your senses with a tour that will reveal the charms of the Philippines’ capital city. We visit Rizal Park, a massive plaza named after the greatest Filipino hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Then we pop into the walled city of Intramuros and explore historical gems like Manila Cathedral, Plaza Roma, San Agustin Church, and Plaza San Luis. For your welcome dinner, get ready for a spread of mouth-watering Filipino specialties and an engaging performance by The Singing Cooks & Waiters. (Filipinos love to perform and there’s no shortage of talents here. In fact, Canadian musician and record producer David Foster called the Philippines “The Land of Singing Champions” after collaborating with countless Filipino singers.) Enjoy your first night in the country and soak up the magnetic local culture.
DAY 2 (BD) MANILA-EL NIDO BY FLIGHT
Wave goodbye to Manila and say hello to Palawan. Hailed as one of the most beautiful places in the world by CNN Travel and Reader’s Digest, El Nido offers spectacular views of majestic karst limestone formations emerging from the most beautiful and clearest blue waters. Story goes that it was El Nido that inspired author Alex Garland to write his novel “The Beach” when he was staying here. The novel was later made into a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and became a cult classic. Wouldn't you like to find out what El Nido can inspire you to do? We’re going all out for your first Palawan experience. Get ready to conquer Taraw Cliff – the highest peak in El Nido and one of the best viewpoints in Palawan – with the El Nido Canopy Walk that leads to the cliff’s view deck 67 meters (220 feet) above sea level. For dinner have a taste of succulent seafood and Crocodile Sisig, a tasty Palawan delicacy.
DAY 3 (BL) EL NIDO ISLAND HOPPING
Ready to have an awesome day out at sea? Today’s island hopping tour takes us to the mystifying Secret Lagoon, the epic Big Lagoon, and the jaw-dropping Shimizu Island. There’s also plenty of snorkeling at Payong-Payong Beach plus you’ll get to swim in waters that shimmer in various shades of blue at Seven Commandos Beach. Make sure to check out the tree swing and the small bar for that perfect sundowner. Go get it!
DAY 4 (BL) EL NIDO ISLAND HOPPING
It’s time to hit the beach (Again!) in style. Rub on some sunscreen lotion and get ready for tons of fun under the sun. Today’s itinerary includes a visit to Tapiutan Island and the aptly named Helicopter Island. Explore the hauntingly beautiful Matinloc Shrine then forget time at Secret Beach and Hidden Beach, one of Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 Best Beaches in the World and the filming location of “Survivor Sweden” (Expedition Robinson). Go find the immunity idol!
DAY 5 (BD) EL NIDO-SIARGAO BY FLIGHT
Zip your suitcase. Today we’re heading to the Philippines’ surfing capital – Siargao. After an easy breezy flight, we bounce to your hotel then head to Cloud 9, the island’s most popular surfing spot. In case you missed it, Cloud 9 was ranked 8th in CNNGo's World's Top 50 Best Surf Spots. Care for a surf? Or go swimming or just relax while enjoying a fresh fruit smoothie. Bottoms up! Come dinnertime, expect a spread of drool-worthy seafood so good, you’ll probably overeat. Afterwards, we hit the mangroves of Secret Beach with a boat cruise while watching glittering Fireflies and bioluminescent Plankton. It's the northern lights of the sea!
DAY 6 (BL) SIARGAO-BUCAS GRANDE-SIARGAO
Put on a happy face and get ready for your greatest Siargao adventure yet. More than just the regular sightseeing, today’s activities include swimming, snorkeling, ledge jumping, diving, cave explorations, and more. You’re in for a treat! We head to Dapa then hop on to a boat to Bucas Grande Island’s Sohoton Cove. Ready for something amazing? Prepare to be surrounded by smacks of Stingless jellyfish. Stingless jellyfish have a translucent bell measuring between 2-7 centimeters (0.8-2.8 inches) in diameter but some individuals can reach 30 centimeters (12 inches) long. Though small in size, the sight of dozens, oftentimes even hundreds of them, is truly a magical experience. We also visit Hagukan Luminous Cave. A truly peculiar site, this cave not only produces a “haguk” or snoring sound but also brings a dazzling glow that can be seen on the stalactites, the surrounding water, and on the skin of anyone who enters the cave. There’s also Magkukuob Cave as well as Tundan Cave, the most impressive and deepest cave in all of Sohoton Bay. We also check out Club Tara Resort, Tiktikan Lagoon, and Mark A Island where you can swim and relax to your heart’s content. Shell yeah!
DAY 7 (BL) SIARGAO ISLAND HOPPING
Dig into breakfast then prepare to go on an island hopping adventure to visit three of Siargao’s most famous islands and more. Go snorkeling amidst colorful marine life at the Fish Sanctuary. Discover Naked Island – a sandbar that, as its name suggests, is without any trees or shade. Afterwards, we head to Daku Island for more swimming and snorkeling. Daku Island is also the perfect setting to satisfy your tastebuds with the iconic Siargao Boodle Fight – a delightful beachfront barbecue lunch featuring freshly caught seafood and more. A treat for your eyes and most definitely your tummy! Afterwards, we head to the tiny but mighty Guyam Island where you can relax in a cottage, in a hammock, under a tree, or perhaps explore the surrounding dramatic rock formations. Finally, enjoy your last beach hurrah swimming at Secret Island before the tide rises. Fun times guaranteed!
DAY 8 (BD) SIARGAO-MANILA BY FLIGHT
Today, we’re hopping on a flight back to Manila to visit more exceptional sites in the capital. Get major Europe vibes while shopping at Venice Grand Canal Mall, a unique shopping mall inspired by the beautiful Italian city. Stroll along Bonifacio High Street, a kilometer-long retail playground, then we bounce to The Fountain at Okada Manila. Measuring 37,464 square meters (403,260 square feet) (That’s about 50 Olympic-size swimming pools!), The Fountain will enthrall with its choreographed water, lights, and sounds performances. H2 OH WOW!
DAY 9 (BD) MANILA-BANGKOK BY FLIGHT
Bad news: It’s your last day in the Philippines. Good news: You’re heading to another country. Sawasdee! Thailand's economic, political, and cultural capital, Bangkok is Asia’s Cosmopolitan Masterpiece with an intoxicating mix of resplendent temples, bustling markets and malls, compelling modern architecture, exquisite local cuisine, and lively nightlife providing something for everyone. Known as Krung Thep to locals, the full name of Bangkok is actually pretty mouthful: Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Yuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Phiman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit. Try memorizing that! In the evening, we’re serving authentic Thai flavors at Nopparat Bangkok with a sensational Thai Dance Performance featuring the traditional culture of Thailand. Make sure to load up on that yummy Pad thai. Burrrp!
DAY 10 (BL) BANGKOK
Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakey! Ready to make the world your oyster? Today we explore CNN Travel’s 2009 World’s Greatest City. Buckle up because Bangkok’s buzz is like no other. We begin with a visit to The Grand Palace – the former royal residence of the Kings of Siam since 1782. Once serving as private spaces reserved only for the nation's kings, his court, and his royal government, the Palace is not a singular massive edifice but rather a complex that holds several buildings and structures that were built at different times during its entire history. Nowadays, the Palace is open to the public, so everyone is welcome to explore its gardens, halls, courtrooms, pavilions, temples, courtyards, and the royal residence. (Do mind the surfaces. They’re reportedly made of real gold!) Afterwards, we move south of The Grand Palace to Wat Pho or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Standing 15 meters (49 feet) tall and 46 meters (150 feet) long, the Reclining Buddha is truly one of the most remarkable Buddha images you’ll ever see. Aside from its sheer size, this Buddha with a rather uncommon positioning dons an elaborate headdress while the soles of its feet display the 108 auspicious characteristics of the true Buddha. Wat Pho is also known as the birthplace of traditional natural Thai medicine and Thai massage which is still taught and practiced up to this day. (Remember to recline like the Buddha when you get a Thai massage later on!) Next, we sashay to another blinged out Buddha (The last for today, we promise!). The Phra Buddha Dhammakāya Thepmongkhon statue is the tallest Buddha image in all of Bangkok, standing at 69 meters (226 feet). Unlike the Reclining Buddha which lies inside a temple, this towering statue is situated outdoors and can be seen in a seated lotus posture beside Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen even from a far distance. While the Buddha was opened to the public sometime only in 2022, Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen’s history dates back to 1610. Inside the five-story stupa are intriguing features including a collection of vintage cars and artifacts which make it look more like a museum instead of a temple. On the topmost floor lies its main attraction – a smaller emerald green glass stupa with an ornate, psychedelic ceiling painting that depicts nirvana. No disrespect but it’s so shagadelic you’d think there’s a shindig. After lunch, it’s time for some major retail therapy. Platinum Fashion Mall is Thailand’s largest indoor wholesale shopping destination. With over 2,500 shops across six stories, it’s unimaginable to leave empty-handed. You came, you saw, you shop!
DAY 11 (BD) BANGKOK-PHUKET BY FLIGHT
Onward! Today, we’ve got our GPS set for Phuket – Thailand’s largest island nestled by the crystalline waters of the Andaman Sea. The country’s top beach destination and the wealthiest province of Thailand, Phuket lures millions of tourists seeking its gorgeous beaches, stunning viewpoints, magnificent temples, sumptuous cuisine, and vibrant nightlife scene. After dinner, you’re free to explore and make your mark in such an alluring destination. Carpe this diem!
DAY 12 (BL) PHI PHI ISLAND HOPPING
Kickstart your day with a filling breakfast then we navigate to AA Marina where we hop on a speedboat to explore Phi Phi Islands. Our first stop: the enchanting Phi Phi Lae Island, home to the famous Maya Bay, a beautiful bay sheltered by towering cliffs. Did you know that Maya Bay was the filming location of the movie “The Beach”? Haven’t seen it? We think you should! (*wink*) Afterwards, we go snorkeling at Loh Samah Bay. Swim in the divine waters of Pi Leh Cove. Admire the striking Viking Cave. Next we make our way to Phi Phi Don Island – the largest and only inhabited island of the bunch – for a yummy buffet lunch then meet the wild but friendly Macaques at Monkey Beach. Want more? We check out Khai Nai Island for a last swim before heading back. Good times!
DAY 13 (BL) PHUKET
Rise and shine! Today’s tour will showcase Phuket's natural beauty and rich culture. We make our way to Karon Viewpoint to see impressive views from high up. Locally known as “Khao Sam Haad”, which translates to “Hill of Three Beaches”, Karon Viewpoint offers beautiful west coast views of Kata Noi Beach, Kata Beach, and Karon Beach. Another scenic viewpoint, Promthep Cape is small peninsula located on the southernmost tip of Phuket offering stunning sea views. Next we navigate to Wat Chalong, the largest temple in all of Phuket. Built in 1837, Wat Chalong is most revered for the sacred relic that is kept here – a fragment of Buddha’s bone. The relic named Phra Borom Sareerikatat is kept inside a glass case on top of the sixty meter (197 feet) tall Phra Mahathat Chedi. It was brought over from Sri Lanka and was installed in the chedi by King Maha Vajiralongkorn. After an appetizing Thai lunch (Aroy mak mak!), we bounce to Big Buddha – a gleaming white marble statue of a seated Maravija Buddha. Situated on top of Nakkerd Hills with sweeping panoramic views, the 45 meter (148 feet) tall Big Buddha has the best seat in all of Phuket. Afterwards, we stroll around Phuket Old Town. Spot Phuket’s historic houses and charming Sino-Portuguese architecture. Sublime!
DAY 14 (BD) PHUKET-SINGAPORE BY FLIGHT
Grab your passport. It’s time for country number three. Selamat datang, Huānyíng, and Vanakkam! Welcome to Singapore, a dynamic and cosmopolitan city-state known for its modernity and diverse traditions, culinary delights, a hub of architectural wonders where lush greenery and eco-friendly infrastructures coexist harmoniously. After hotel check in, we head to Marina Bay Waterfront to check out Gardens by the Bay – an impressive nature park and sanctuary for nature lovers and horticulturists spanning 101 hectares (250 acres). Explore the Flower Dome, Guinness World Records’ largest glass greenhouse (No less!) where colorful blooms are aplenty all year-round. (The only season here is Spring!) Home to over 32,00 plants belonging to over 160 species, prepare to come across peculiar breeds... from the African baobab to the Orchids of Machu Picchu. Step into the Cloud Forest and take a closer look at unusual vegetation typically found at some 2,000 meters (6,561 feet) above sea level. Look out for carnivorous plants such as Pitcher plants and Venus flytraps set against the backdrop of one of the world’s tallest indoor waterfalls and a lush mountain clad with plants from around the planet. Wait, it doesn't end there! We pop into Marina Bay Sands to take the fun to greater heights. Perched 200 meters (656 feet) in the air featuring an infinity pool and observation deck, the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark is a roof like no other. Feast your eyes on the breathtaking view of Singapore’s world-class cityscape. (Uhm, make sure to fold your umbrella if you don’t want to do a Mary Poppins.) Afterwards, we tumble to RISE – Marina Bay Sands’ signature buffet restaurant for a glorious feast featuring flavorful cuisines from around the globe. From Singapore Chili Crab, Australian Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang, Norwegian Smoked Salmon, Lamb Vindaloo, Boston Bay Blue Mussels, to Slow-Cooked Iberico Pork Ribs… the world is at your table. Do you believe in love at first bite?
DAY 15 (BL) UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE
Time to grind, Minions! If you love sci-fi and adventure movies, today is YOUR day! Universal Studios Singapore is a stellar theme park for people of all ages where your favorite movies come to life. Stroll down the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard and onto the sets of your favorite blockbuster movies. Explore the futuristic Sci-Fi City, home to adrenaline-pumping rides including Transformers The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle and Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon. Step back into Ancient Egypt and explore antique obelisks, the riddles of the Sphinx, and curse-ridden rides. Walk with dinosaurs in Jurassic Park and watch death-defying stunts at WaterWorld’s sensational water show. Discover the fairytale kingdom of Far Far Away with its grand castles, green ogres, a talking donkey, and magic potions. Bippity boppity boo! After a fun-filled day, transfer back to your hotel then make sure to head out to explore the bustling neighborhood. Orchard Road is to Singapore what Fifth Avenue is to New York – a retail and dining paradise, with thousands of establishments offering the ultimate lifestyle experience to both tourists and locals. Tip: Check out the vendor selling ice cream sandwich and try Durian ice cream. You’re gonna love it!
DAY 16 (BL) SINGAPORE CITY TOUR + SENTOSA ISLAND TOUR
Down your breakfast then get ready to explore more of Singapore. We drive by Suntec City and the Singapore Flyer then make a photo stop at Merlion Park (Tempted to do the drinking pose?). Then we venture into Chinatown making our way to Thian Hock Keng Temple, a century-old gem of a monument and architectural masterpiece. After a brief stop at a local souvenir shop, it’s time for lunch featuring the fantastic flavors of Peranakan cuisine. (Bursting with flavors and colors that reflect its hybridized roots!) Then we set off to Sentosa, Singapore's premier resort island. Climb into the Singapore Cable Car and take in superb views of Sentosa and Faber Peak from 100 meters (328 feet) above sea level. Visit the renowned wax museum Madame Tussauds Singapore and rub elbows with the world’s biggest celebrities. Step into Images of Singapore and travel through time and explore Singapore’s different eras across a period of nearly 200 years. Discover the awe-inspiring world of life in the ocean at S.E.A. Aquarium with more than 800 species of marine animals like graceful Manta rays and over 200 Sharks through one of the world’s largest windows to the ocean. Simply FIN-credible!
